What does it cost to join?
Nothing. There's no joining fee, no monthly subscription, and no equipment to buy. We earn a modest commission on each wash we book for you (typically 12–18% depending on volume tier) — and we only earn when you earn.
How and when do I get paid?
By EFT every Friday for all completed bookings from the prior Monday–Sunday. You'll get a detailed statement in the operator app showing every wash, the customer name, and the payout amount.
Do I need special equipment or to change how I wash?
No. We don't dictate your wash process or the products you use. The only requirements are consistent quality (we monitor customer ratings) and the free Shinepass Operator app on a phone or tablet at the wash.
Who's responsible if something happens to a customer's car?
During the wash, our partner insurance policy covers damage caused by Shinepass-booked services up to R250,000 per incident, on top of your own business cover. We've never had to make a claim, but the cover is there.
Can I set my own prices?
Standardised wash types (Basic, Standard, Premium) have a network-wide price set so customers get a consistent experience. À la carte add-ons — polish, sealants, interior detailing — you price yourself.
What if I want to leave the network?
30 days' notice, by email. No exit fees, no lock-in. You keep all your equipment and your historical earnings statements remain accessible.
